Mr Darryll Castle

Director, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr Castle joined Anvil in May 2011. He has a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) from the University of Natal-Durban, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Africa as well as a Masters Business Administration from the University of Cape Town and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr Castle has extensive experience in the civil engineering, mining and financial sectors with more than 15 years in senior management positions with international organisations. Prior to joining Anvil, Mr Castle worked with the Metorex Group as Chief Operating Officer (COO), accountable for all aspects of operational performance of the Metorex mines. Upon completion of his MBA, he joined Ingwe Coal (Billiton) where he worked in operations and on various strategic projects. From 1998 to 2005 he was a Mining and Resource Analyst and Fund Manager with STANLIB Asset Management. Between 2005 and 2009 he was Executive Director of Zungu Investment Company (ZICO), a privately owned holding company which holds major investments in a number of South African businesses.

Mr Greg Morris

Chief Operating Officer

Mr Morris joined Anvil in June 2011 as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He has over 14 years of experience in the mining industry working previously with Anglo American in various commodities, including: coal, precious metals (gold and platinum group metals), base metals (copper, nickel and zinc), and diamonds. This experience has been gained on projects in South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Peru. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science Engineering (Civil) from the University of Natal and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours from the University of South Africa and is a professional engineer.

Mr Paul Chare

Vice President Operations, DRC

Mr Chare joined Anvil in January 2008 as Project Director Kinsevere Stage II and was appointed Vice President Operations in May 2009. Mr Chare has some 30 years experience in the mining industry with senior management roles in Australia, Myanmar and Mongolia. Mr Chare has a B. Eng. Mining (Honours) from London University. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Mr Philippe Monier

Vice President Corporate and CFO

Mr Monier joined Anvil in October 2010 as Vice President Corporate and Chief Financial Officer. Mr Monier has over 25 years of international finance experience, including a number of years in the mining and minerals sectors. He received a MBA from the London Business School and graduated in economics, finance and accounting from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Tours - Poitiers, France. Prior to joining Anvil, Mr Monier held previous CFO positions with Bateman Engineering, Dynatec and BHP Billiton Base Metals. His experience also includes nine years with Lehman Brothers Energy Group, finishing as Senior Vice President of the oil services franchise.

Mr Neil Caldwell

Vice President Development and Sustainability

Mr Caldwell joined Anvil in June 2011 as Vice President Development and Sustainability. He has 20 years experience in senior positions in management, finance and corporate finance. He has worked for both listed and non-listed companies, including: Eskom, Deutsche Bank and Nampak Limited. Neil has experience in business transformation in South Africa, facilitated through Black Economic Empowerment, and its application into the mining sector. He has a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Cape Town, a Baccalaureus Procurationis degree in law from the University of South Africa, a Higher Diploma in Company Law from the University the Witwatersrand and a Masters Business Administration from the University of Cape Town.

Mr Robert La Vallière

Vice President Corporate Affairs

Mr La Vallière joined Anvil in June, 2005. He has more than 25 years experience in the mining industry including exploration, project evaluations, M & A activities and communications experience in domestic and international settings. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the Université de Québec in 1978 and a MBA from Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) affiliated to the University of Montréal in 1982. Mr LaVallière is a member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec (P.Geo.) and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM).

Mr Stuart McKenzie

Company Secretary

Mr McKenzie was appointed as Company Secretary in October 2006. He has an extensive background in finance and commerce having held senior positions with international corporations such as Ernst and Young and HSBC. Prior to joining Anvil he was Treasurer and Company Secretary with Ok Tedi Mining Limited for over three and a half years.

Mr Lui Evangelista

Financial Controller

Mr Evangelista joined Anvil in February 2005 as assistant Financial Controller. He has extensive experience in financial management and company secretarial working in Australia and Europe with both listed and non listed companies, including six years at BHP Billiton. He has CPA and ACIS qualifications and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Mr Russell Boylan

Manager Human Resources

Mr Boylan joined Anvil in October 2009 as Manager Human Resources. He has more than 25 years experience in the mining industry with a broad background in human resources management at both remote mine sites and corporate office locations. Mr Boylan has extensive experience in negotiating industrial agreements, employment contracts and salary review systems, recruitments at all levels, administration procedures and management development training, as well as OH & S and employee benefits. He received a graduate diploma in Business Industrial Relations from Charles Sturt University (NSW) and a graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Curtin University. Mr Boylan is an Associate Fellow of the Australasian Human Resources Institute and a member of the Industrial Relations Society of Western Australia.

Mr Michael Lawlor

Manager Technical Services

Mr Lawlor joined the Company in July 2007, following a period of almost ten years as a Principal Mining Consultant and Division Manager for Snowden Mining Industry Consultants in Perth, Western Australia. Mr Lawlor has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) degree from the WA School of Mines and a Master of Engineering Science (Mining Geomechanics) degree from James Cook University. He holds additional qualifications in Mineral Economics and Project Management, is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and also a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

Mr Brendan Moseley

Operations Manager

Mr Moseley joined Anvil in November 2008. He has 16 years experience in the mineral processing industry in both operational and management roles, having worked in a number of Gold and base metal operations in Australia as well as Uganda, Ghana and DRC. Mr Moseley has a Bachelor of Applied Science Chemistry (Major) from Curtin University of Technology, Bentley, Western Australia.

Mr Alan Walker

Senior Project Manager, Kinsevere

Mr Walker joined Anvil in April 2010 as Senior Project Manager for Kinsevere Stage II. He has more than 25 years experience in the mining and metals industry, including mechanical engineering, project management and general management experience in the UK, South Africa and Australia. Mr Walker has a MA (Engineering) from Cambridge University. He is a PMP registered with the Project Management Institute, a Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (South Africa).

Mrs Karen O'Neill

Commercial Manager, Kinsevere Stage II

Mrs O'Neill joined Anvil in March 2008 as Manager Risk and Assurance and moved to Project Commercial Manager in May 2008. She has extensive commercial and governance experience having held senior positions with international companies. She has worked broadly in the professional services and investment banking industries before moving to mining and has worked in Africa and Europe as well as Australia.
